Polling stations across Oxfordshire have opened for the local elections.
All 69 seats on Oxfordshire County Council are up for election. There are also various district council by-elections across the county.
Polling stations across the county opened at 07:00 and will close at 22:00 BST.
The authority has been run by a coalition of the Liberal Democrats and the Greens since 2023, after Labour pulled out of a three-party alliance formed following the 2021 election.
- What photo ID will you need to vote in the local elections?
- Can I take children or pets to a polling station?
- When are the 2025 local elections and who can vote?
As has become the norm in recent elections, voters will require a form of photo ID – such as a passport or driving licence – in order to cast their ballot.
The election is seen as potentially the last for Oxfordshire County Council, after the government announced its intention to scrap the current two-tier system of local government last year.
